Please let us know if you see any mammals or their signs in Somerset. Your records help keep track of the distribution of mammals in the county and how they are faring. Mammals are generally under recorded so please send in records of common species as well as records of rarities. The group assists with the verification of records and can provide help with identification.

Mammal records for the county are collated by Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC) please submit your records direct to them, find out how here.  If you are not sure exactly what species you encountered please get in touch with us, we may be help if you provide photographs, field signs or a detailed description. Find links to identification resources here.

Remember to include the full details of WHO, WHAT, WHERE and WHEN.
